About Polar Systems

.

A history to be proud of

Polar Systems was established by Peter Gamble, a design engineer with a passion for developing new processing systems, in 1986.  The inaugural design was the world’s first fully automated whelk processing line, commissioned for a local King’s Lynn seafood processing company.

Since then the company has grown to a workforce of over 50 people, including designers, project engineers, control and automation electrical engineers, machine centre programmers, CNC Profiling Programmers, fabrication and machine shop engineers and on-site installation teams. Polar operates from a 22,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility.

A path of development

With an emphasis on engineering solutions and continual investment in people, plant and technologies, Polar Systems are committed to, and synonymous with high quality, attention to detail, research and development.  Their primary focus is on facilitating and developing your production requirements, meeting your precise needs and creating tangible benefits for your business.

These attributes position Polar Systems as one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of food processing equipment.  Today, Polar continues to invest in facilities to support in-house design, bespoke manufacturing and developing a highly skilled workforce through apprenticeship programs.

At the core of Polar Systems, is the continuing development of existing products to enhance efficiencies as well as explore new automated processes across a wide range of industries.
