The product image is obtained on the initial camera belt. The image can be either illuminated from above or below to provide the necessary contrast.

The machine depicted had 8 distinct discharge points on either side central belt assembly.


Once the image has been processed and sized, a grade can be allocated. The pneumatic discharge jet simply fires as the product passes the correct discharge point.
